Go to the Vehicles tab and tap the + button. Enter your 17-character VIN and tap Decode VIN — Motormait will automatically fill in the year, make, model, engine specs, and fuel type. You can also fill in the fields manually if you prefer.
Motormait syncs with the official NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) database every night. When a new safety recall is issued for any of your vehicles, it appears automatically in the Recalls tab with a badge count. You'll see the affected component, the risk, and the recommended remedy. Once the dealer fixes it, you can mark it resolved by logging it as a service visit.
Open a vehicle and tap the Reminders tab. Motormait calculates due dates based on your last logged service and standard intervals (e.g. oil change every 5,000 miles or 6 months). You'll see a status badge — OK, Due Soon, or Overdue — for each service type. Push notifications are sent 7 days and 1 day before the due date. You can also customise the due date or target mileage for any reminder.
Yes. When logging a Charging service, you can record kWh added, charging level (Level 1, Level 2, or DC Fast Charge), battery percentage at start and end, and charging duration. The vehicle detail screen shows efficiency trends over time. Recall monitoring works the same for EVs as for gas vehicles.
When adding or editing a service log, scroll down to the attachments section and tap the photo picker. You can select images from your Photos library. Images are automatically resized before upload. Attachments are shown with a paperclip badge on the service list so you can see at a glance which logs have documents attached.
Go to the Home tab, tap the gear icon, then tap Profile. Scroll to the Account section and tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all associated vehicle data. If you run into any issues, email us at support@motormait.com.
